Through the first three games of the 2021 season, the Dallas Stars have shown there are a few ways to win hockey games: a statement win on opening night, a fluid win in game two, and a grind it out overtime win in game three. If the Stars are showing a winning DNA early in the season, it is a welcome sight for a club and fanbase with designs on an additional two wins late in the summer. When the puck drops tonight against the Red Wings Terrell Davis Face Mask, it will only be the Stars fourth game of this young season. However, while some might want to tap the brakes a bit, the Stars are also showing glimpses of who they are as a club. The power play is humming along at a historic pace (nine goals in three games), goaltender Anton Khudobin has surrendered just three goals, and a team that is largely a carryover from their Finals appearance seems to be primed to show the league that run was anything but a fluke. Missing Bodies If the Stars are to win their fourth straight game to start the season, it appears they will have to continue winning without the services of Jamie Benn and Blake Comeau. Benn was injured on opening night against the Nashville Predators, but did take part in the morning skate via reports from local media at the AAC this morning. Blake Comeau also skated with the group in the morning after clearing COVID-19 protocols, but he likely needs a couple of more skates before he gets back into the lineup. One new development from the morning skate is that Roope Hintz took part as well after missing Tuesday tilt thanks to a lower-body injury Noah Fant T-Shirt, and should be a game-time decision for tonight. However, this was the same status assigned to Jamie Benn on Tuesday as well. We won know for sure what Hintz status is until warmups. Oettinger First NHL StartJake Oettinger has been handed the keys to the starter crease for the Stars for the first time in his career. The 22 year-old Lakeville, Minnesota native was the Stars second first round pick in the 2017 NHL draft. After a career at Boston University and three years with the Texas Stars, the netminder will see his first full 60 minute NHL action. It should be noted this technically will not be his first NHL appearance. Oettinger made appearances in the playoffs over the summer. However, his first start will be a memorable moment for a player who has long been looked at as the future of the Dallas Stars crease. The franchise will see how their investment in him is playing out, which should be exciting for executives and fans alike. Lines and Storylines to FollowThe Stars will be wearing their totally awesome blackout jerseys for the first time this season. This will be the first of ten games the sweater will be worn in 2021. It will be interesting to see how these jerseys look in person and on TV https://www.denverproshoponline.com/Graham_Glasgow_Pillow_Cover-431. It is fair to say that Twitter has been kind to the blackout jersey and the merchandise the Stars are patterning off of the uniform is very sharp. After years of Victory Green uniforms and the occasional white jersey game, it will be pretty cool to see something different on the ice at the AAC. I, for one, couldn be more excited for the visual aspects of this tilt tonight. So which players for the Stars will be wearing the new uniform tonight Take a look at the lines below, and keep in mind Roope Hintz is still a question mark.

The Winnipeg Jets are interesting team. Ie remarked in previous recaps that you seldom know which version of the team youe getting. Winnipeg can appear in so many nique variants, it hard to pick a favorite! I prefer the ones where the Jets don turn the puck over every 5 seconds Cole Kehler Flag. Against the Montreal Canadiens, we unfortunately experienced the Turnover Supreme squad I greatly detest. The First PeriodBy all accounts, everything seemed to be lining up for Winnipeg with a strong start. The opening period held a lot of jump for the Jets, with Winnipeg top lines creating some serious offensive zone havoc. The third line did its thing and drove towards the slot while Nikolaj Ehlers did his best to make the second line look functional. Despite the early offensive pressure, the Jets were having a hard time finding a way past Carey Price pads. Terrence Lee-USA TODAY SportsNaturally, the Jets made a single mistake that was immediately punished by Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Copp was along the right wall and fumbled the puck, inadvertently creating a 3-on-1 for the Habs. Forbort tried to make some sort of defensive play and failed spectacularly (not that it was his fault), leading to an early Montreal lead. The Jets surged throughout the remainder of the period, desperately looking for the tying goal. Unfortunately, things like a blown 2-on-1 with Scheifele and Wheeler (SHOOOOOT MARK) did little to improve the situation. The Jets would need to sustain the offensive pressure of the opening 20 minutes in order to right the ship. The Second PeriodWinnipeg was not quite as sharp in period 2, and it showed in some incredibly sloppy turnovers and poor passes. Connor Hellebuyck was more than a bit busy, with the Habs getting dangerous looks on nonsense plays from his defenders. Winnipeg made his life even harder after taking an early penalty. The Jets PK definitely Did Something and Montreal Josh Anderson took advantage of chaos down low to score. The Jets answered a few short minutes later, with Kyle Connor wristing a screen shot through Price on the power play. We certainly know KFC can shoot the puck pretty dang well! The minutes after the power play continued to trend in the ot sharp category, and a particularly baffling sequence led to the worst goal on the night. Neal Pionk got caught by 3 Montreal skaters deep in the DZ and fed a pass straight to the Habs skater higher in the zone. Pionk was expecting a Jets winger to be there for the outlet but not a single Winnipeg skater was anywhere near close. What the heck were the Jets doing, allowing a lone defender to get trapped in a 3-on-1 Tyler Toffoli made Winnipeg pay for the mistake and the Habs up 3-1 Laurie Boschman T-Shirt. The Third PeriodThe Jets tried to get things going in the final period of regulation, but their efforts ended up falling short. The only moment of note was Kyle Connor second power play marker of the game. Like the first goal, it was a great release from the right faceoff circle. This time, KFC just smacked the pack as hard as he could and earned a tasty reward. Overall, I thought KFC game was a lot better tonight. He actually backchecked and disrupted a few Montreal rushes, which is more than I can usually say. Terrence Lee-USA TODAY SportsWith the goalie pulled, the Jets tried for 1 last desperation sequence. Winnipeg has actually managed to tie it on a number of occasions, but tonight was not that night. Toffoli scored his second goal and pushed the Canadiens out of reach. The Jets will rue their missed chances and extremely stupid turnovers, all of which the Habs seized upon. Winnipeg gets a chance at redemption on Wednesday. Three TakeawaysJosh Morrissey is seriously cooked. I don know what to do with Josh anymore. The only thing that seems reasonable is to find a way to move his contract. Morrissey is a shell of himself and it doesn look like hel be recovering his form anytime soon. What a strange and sad saga for the guy we all pegged to be captaining the blueline over the next 8 years. The second line still isn cutting it. Every time I watch this unit, it feels like Ehlers is doing most of the work while Connor and Dubois are supporting to various degrees of efficacy. Dubois is usually the more active of Nik linemates https://www.storewinnipeg.com/Trevor_Lewis_Face_Mask-242, but even he has trouble being impactful on a regular basis. He was a lot better tonight compared to his outing against the Leafs, but that a low bar to clear. Copp and Perreault need to switch spots. Mathieu continues to be a monster this year and Winnipeg isn making the most of his talents. They need to get more out of Perreault, and Copp isn working well on the third line. Switch them around and I have a feeling Winnipeg will reap the benefits.

A similar margin of fans picked the Winnipeg Jets to win their series against the Montreal Canadiens. However, the Canadiens hold a 1-0 lead so far, and the Jets will be without star forward Mark Scheifele for the next four games due to his dangerous hit on Montreal center Jake Evans. Fans are most confident in the Colorado Avalanche. More than three-fourths of fans picked the Avs to advance passed the Vegas Golden Knights. Colorado holds a two-games to none lead in the series. The Miami Dolphins continue to pile up a collection of former Houston Texans players Terrance Mitchell Pillow Cover. The latest is linebacker Brennan Scarlett, who agreed to terms with the Dolphins on Friday afternoon, according to a league source, who confirmed the report from Houston Chronicle reporter Aaron Wilson. Scarlett joins linebacker Benardrick McKinney and wide receiver Will Fuller V as players making the move from Houston to Miami this week. Scarlett is an edge defender with extensive special teams experience, which clearly has been a focus for the Dolphins in free agency. The 6-3, 236-pound Scarlett spent the past five season with the Texans after joining the team as a rookie free agent in 2016. In those five, Scarlett played 56 games with 22 starts, including a career-high in 2019 https://www.houstongearonline.com/Charlie_Heck_Pet_Jersey-304. That season, he finished with career highs in tackles and sacks . Scarlett missed five games last season when he was missed on injured reserve because of a fractured forearm https://www.houstongearonline.com/David_Johnson_Pillow_Cover-333. This was the scouting report on Scarlett from Texans Daily Writer Anthony Wood:Struggled early in the season but began to improve, just before he landed on injured reserve. Did little to prove he can be a starter moving forward, as such should be a special teams contender at most. Scarlett becomes the 12th veteran acquisition for the Dolphins this offseason after along with Fuller and McKinney QB Jacoby Brissett, RB Malcolm Brown, WR Robert Foster, TE Cethan Carter, C Matt Skura, T Isaiah Wilson, DT Adam Butler, CB Justin Coleman and P Michael Palardy.

This evening, we are going to have a little fun. Looking around the NFL, there are plenty of former Miami Dolphins players on other teams. Maybe it is someone who just signed with a new team in free agency like linebacker Kyle Van Noy or quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick https://www.miamigearonline.com/Reid_Sinnett_Pet_Jersey-586. Or maybe you are looking at someone who has been gone for a few years like running back Lamar Miller or defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Who is the right player for you to bring back to the DolphinsMy choice is wide receiver Jarvis Landry. The Dolphins need to add a slot receiver. Landry, for as frustrating as his yards per reception average can be Akeem King Flag, would be an outstanding option for Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami offense. Landry was selected in the second round, the 63rd overall pick, in the 2014 NFL Draft. In four seasons with the Dolphins, Landry caught 400 passes for 4,038 yards, a 10. 1 yards per reception average, with 22 touchdowns. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2015, 2016, and 2017 and led the league with 112 receptions in 2017. Photo by Chris Trotman/Getty ImagesAfter placing the franchise tag on Landry in 2018, Miami traded him to the Cleveland Browns for a fourth-round pick in 2018 and a seventh-round pick in 2019. With Cleveland, he has caught 236 passes for 2,990 yards, a 12. 7 yards per reception average, with 13 touchdowns https://www.miamigearonline.com/Terrell_Bonds_Flag-617. He was selected to the 2018 and 2019 Pro Bowls.
